ALSO. im sick |:D so even the little tiny bit of sharpie i used on this page burned my nose off ++ ... thats bad considereing this uses hardly any sharpie compared to my other comic lol D....:

With bricks the trick is not to draw all of them; just enough to suggest that it's a brick wall. Along the edge of the wall for silhouette (show where the brick sticks out from the morter), and then an occasional brick in the wall where it looks good and people will look at it and go "yeah, 's a brick wall."

Something to try anyway.
